Friday Five

Man oh man, it's been awhile since my last Friday Five post. I can't decide whether to keep it going or to hang it up. Not sure how you all feel about it.

Regardless of what I end up doing with it, I thought it would be fun to bring it back this week. I don't have time for anything else today. We are having a long playdate today with Averi (my cousin's little girl) and we will be spending all of our time outdoors. It's supposed to be beautiful today. YEAH for that!

Thanks to those who came up with some great Friday Five questions here, I will be using some of them this week and the rest, the next time I post a Friday Five. Sound good?

"Are you trying for a girl this time?" "Hope you get your girl this time" (like we are so unfortunate if we have a third boy!)  GRRRRRRRRRRR!!! Don't get me going on these two. Seriously. WE ARE TRYING FOR A HEALTHY AND HAPPY BABY!!!!!!!!

3.  Have you ever broken a bone and if so, which one/s? Courtesy of Shelly.

Yes, when I was a little girl, a very little girl, I broke my collar bone. OUCH. Thankfully I don't remember it. I used to follow my mom everywhere and one day I ended up following her down some very steep stairs and I lost my balance and fell very hard. I was lucky it was only my collar bone that I broke.

4.  What would you do on your ideal vacation without the kids? What about with the kids? Courtesy of Monica.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww a vacation. Tough one, it's a tie for the vacation WITHOUT KIDS -- either a trip to NYC to see all the awesome Broadway shows or Hawaii. Being lazy on the beach right now sounds oh so good too!

WITH THE KIDS, it would definetly be Orlando, Florida. We would hit Disney World and Sea World. Man oh man that would be a dream vacation for sure.

5.  What was your favorite Easter candy this year and what was your least favorite? Courtesy of me.

My fave candy this year would have to be anything with chocolate AND Starburst jelly beans and my least favorite would have to be anything with coconut (YUCK!) or jelly beans that taste like spice drops. They are supposed to be fruity and sweet, not spicy!

FYI, yesterday I decided to add a "Video of the Day" in the right column of my blog, under recent comments. I am fully aware that some people will love it and others will hate it. To the people who love it, ROCK ON and for those who find it annoying, feel free to turn your speakers down or hit stop or pause on the video clip. I may not keep it forever but for now I like it. I think it's really cool and I think you can really learn a lot about people by what songs and videos they enjoy (and post). I DO hope it isn't too annoying and I hope it doesn't keep you from checking out my blog. If so, let me know, I would rather lose the video clip than any readers! The current song is SO PERFECT with what is going on right now in our lives. It's unreal. Sometimes and maybe, just maybe, THE IMPOSSIBLE really does happen.

Um yeah, apparently I was having a bad morning when I wrote my last post. I am feeling a little better this morning. It's amazing what a MUCH NEEDED shower can do for a person.

Seriously.

And I am looking forward to leaving the house FINALLY on Saturday. Being housebound with sick kids AFREAKINGAIN (getting sick on anything and everything kind of sick kid) for days truly starts to mess with you. At times, I don't even feel human. How many times can one household go through the stomach virus?!

Friday Ten

This week it's all about FOOD! I mean who doesn't LOVE FOOD?!

1. Eggs? Fried or Scrambled? Definitely scrambled with LOTS of ketchup! I won't eat scrambled eggs without it actually. I eat eggs like twice a year.

2. Chocolate covered cherries? Yummy or Yuck? DOUBLE YUCK!

3.  When eating a salad, what type of dressing do you prefer to use? My fave is a light or fat free western or french dressing. Pretty much anything red.

4.  Peanut Butter? Creamy or Crunchy? Like both but prefer the one with NUTS!

5.  If you HAD to eat only one flavor of ice cream for the rest of your life, what flavor would it be? Cookies and Cream for me.

6.  Thick or thin crust pizza? Lately, I prefer thin. Half the calories and I am totally digging the taste of thin these days.

7.  Salsa? Hot, Medium, or Mild? I prefer mild, medium is TOO HOT for me most of the time. Yeah, I am pretty much a chicken shit.

8.  Toast? Lightly toasted or practically burnt? I like my toast to be VERY VERY lightly toasted, it's more like plain old bread than toast.

9.  What is your FAVE food item at Taco Bell? I LOVE 7 layer burritos. ALWAYS get them when I go.

AND LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST

10.  When are you MOST LIKELY to pig out during the course of a day? My worst time FOR SURE is mid afternoon when the kids are napping. Especially if it's been a bad/hard mommy day.

It's been a LONG and HARD week with car and insurance stuff, our cat puking all week, blah blah blah and we have just missed him! I finally had my melt down on Thursday night, boy it wasn't pretty AT ALL. Why does family drama happen right when you sooooooooooooooo do not need it to happen?!

Friday Five Returns!

OH MY it has been a LONG TIME since I posted my last Friday Five!

It is TIME to get it going again! I miss it!

Does that make me a total dork or just half dork?! HA HA!     Wait don't answer that!

1. If you HAD to get one of the following done, which one would it be and why? Botox, Boob job, or Braces?  Thanks Tertia for question idea!

Braces for sure, my once straight teeth are no longer straight and I HATE it. I will probably be starting the whole braces process once we get our tax return! Luckily, I am a candidate for the clear Invisalign ones so that's what I would be getting if I do get them. I don't need botox, just yet anyway LOL and not sure I would ever go that route anyway, and I don't want/need a boob job. So I guess braces are the only thing left.

2.  Would you rather take a bath or shower?

Tough one. I like both but can NEVER take a bath because I am WAY TOO TALL for our damn bath tub, it is RIDICULOUS really. I hate not being able to relax and soak in a warn bath. Sigh.

3.  Would you consider yourself to be a HIGH or a LOW matience kind of gal?

I would say I am average matience! Ha Ha!

4.  Heels all the time or like NEVER?!

Heels? What's that?! Like seriously. And I am already tall enough! I am 5' 9", enough for me.

5.  What is your middle name? 

Ann after my mom's middle name, if I ever have a GIRL, she will be named Haley Ann!

Today is a busy day around here! Lots of cleaning to do while tending to two crazy kiddos who LOVE to bounce off the walls together.

We have our FIRST "conference" with Nathan's preschool today! I am EXCITED and anxious NERVOUS AS HELL to hear how he is doing! This "conference" is at OUR house so that explains why I will be cleaning like a MAD lady today. I can't believe Nathan's teachers will be in OUR HOUSE this afternoon! Wish us luck!

Once the conference is over with, I will try to put up Part Two of my Birthday Bash!
