Friday Five Movie Edition

1. What would you say is your favorite movie genre?

Tough one for me, I love romantic comedies, thrillers/dramas, regular comedies, and inspirational sport movies.

2.  For a 7:30 movie, do you show up at 7, 7:15, 7:30, or 7:45?

ALWAYS WAYYY EARLY. Half an hour early almost all the time.

3.  Do you prefer the front, middle, or back seats at the theater?

We ALWAYS ALWAYS get the back row, the last two seats, next to the aisle. We show up at 7 to make sure we get them lol. There is more room in those two seats and you can get up and go the bathroom without bothering anyone. Although now that I think about it, we never ever go to the bathroom during a movie.

4.  Movie popcorn or candy?

I'm not into popcorn at all, so probably candy. Cherry Nibs or Reese's Pieces.

5.  In a given year, how many times do you think you see a movie in the theater?

Probably on average 12 times. Every month or so Kevin and I try to have a date together, which usually involves dinner and a movie. We don't rent movies that often and we don't have any of the premium movie channels, so the theater is usually the only time we see movies.

I have never been to a movie alone but I am not opposed to it.

1. What would you say is your favorite movie genre? Hmmm...hard to say. Comedy, I think. I also like quirky independent films

2. For a 7:30 movie, do you show up at 7, 7:15, 7:30, or 7:45? 7:15 but I know if I show up at 7:30, I'm still on time because there are 20 minutes worth of commercials and trailers before the actual movie starts. lol

3. Do you prefer the front, middle, or back seats at the theater? Toward the back.

4. Movie popcorn or candy? Both!

5. In a given year, how many times do you think you see a movie in the theater? Eeks. A lot. It depends. I actually haven't seen one in a while. I think since Guy and I took Nat to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2.

Middle seats, hate craning my neck to look up at the screen and we're way too old for the back rows lol.

Hate popcorn, usually get a Coke and a choc top icecream.

We're lucky if we go once or twice a year....must make more of an effort to arrange a babysitter! We went on Friday nite though (United 93), LOVED getting out.

The only time I've been alone was when my ex p*ssed me off SO MUCH, I was furious, we'd made plans to go to a movie and he chose to go out with his mates so I drove into the city, got myself a pizza, ate it in the car and then went to a movie!!

1. I don't have a favorite - I hate horror movies and vampire,werewolf type stuff though.

5. Oh, I probably go 6-8 times a year.

6. I go to the movies by myself about half the time I go! DH and I will often go by ourselves - I hate werewolf movies, he loves 'em. He hates chic flicks, I love 'em! Seriously, I enjoy sitting in the theater by myself taking care of only myself! You should try it some night, Kelly! Seriously, it is such a treat to only worry about my own wants for a couple hours.

Very few genre's I DON'T like, except horror. It all depends on my mood. I'm usually a sucker for romantic comedy, though.

Usually by 7:15. At least, that's what I shoot for.

I aim for the middle in the middle. Best view, no disruptions by other people needing to get past you to go to the bathroom or snack bar.

Neither. Way too expensive and huge. I SNEAK my whoppers or Red Hot Tamales into the theatre, along with a can of Diet Coke, thankyouverymuch. I'm already getting ripped off enough with the price of the ticket. No need to stick it to me twice.

Not nearly enough after kids!! Like 2-3 per year. Sad sad sad. Used to me so much more. We've switched to renting a bunch of movies instead. Not the same experience at all.

That's almost my favorite way to see a movie! I have no trouble going to a movie alone and got over any fear of it when I lived alone in another state and didn't know a soul. That and eating at a restaurant by myself. I'm cool with that, too.

6. Would you ever go to a movie alone? Yes -- sometimes a girl needs some time to just chill, all by herself (especially a mother!). I think I've only done it twice though. Time to do it again! :)

1- I like romantic comedy, comedy, inspirtational sports & drama
2- 715 - usually about 10 mins early
3- We always try to get the seat that are right behind the bars so we can put our feet up on them. They are usually in the middle section.
4- movie popcorn, i can not smell it and not want some
5- we go alot. probably over 20 times a year.
6- I never have but I wouldn't say I never would.

1. What would you say is your favorite movie genre? I like all, really. Comedy, romantic comedy, drama, thriller, even the occasional cheesy horror movie is fun. If I HAD a pick one, I'd say Comedy.

2. For a 7:30 movie, do you show up at 7, 7:15, 7:30, or 7:45? Somewhere between 7:00-7:15pm.

3. Do you prefer the front, middle, or back seats at the theater? I like the middle IN the middle.

4. Movie popcorn or candy? Candy. If I get something it's always Raisinettes and a Cherry Icee.

Absolutely. Have done it and have no problem doing it. I mean, you aren't in a theater to talk anyway. No big deal to me.
