What's worse than a sick child?

TWO sick children.

What's worse than TWO VERY sick children?

Two sick children AND a sick mommy.

What's worse than two sick children and a sick mommy?

A sick mommy who can't even think about resting or taking care of herself.

Notice there is no adult medicine in the picture above?

Notice the beautiful Tupperware container full of medicine? That's because the BRAND NEW EXPENSIVE bottle of medicine had a hole in the bottom of it and was leaking from the bottle at 100 MPH.

Nathan can't stop coughing.

Austin needs to cough but can't. He sounds horrible and VERY VERY wheezy.

Both have fevers.

I am weak with a fever and a raw sore throat.

Nathan won't be going to school tomorrow. I won't be able to work out. Their regular doctor is out of town this week and they will be seeing an older Asian male doctor instead. I know my son. Nathan is totally going to FREAK OUT! They both have doctor appointment's in the morning. I will wait and see what happens with me before I pay another co pay and get to the doctor myself.

I forgot to mention two things that made my day even better!

1. I was counting down the hours until nap time today so I could rest and get a MUCH NEEDED break from two sick kids but Austin who is very sick and very tired hasn't slept all day.

2. Austin puked on me while I was trying to help him go to sleep. I wasn't able to change my shirt until I KNEW Austin wasn't going to nap at all today. I now stink like puke.

I WILL be taking a long hot shower tonight and eating PIZZA for supper. And ice cream for desert if I can get my hands on it.

If I am really lucky I will get some sleep tonight. Lots of sleep.

Mommy Day From Hell (Pictures Included)

This past Friday was truly a "Mommy Day From Hell". I will spare you all the fine lovely details. It is thankfully just a passing memory for me, cute and loving kids will do that to ya. Saturday was my SAVIOR. And I DO mean SAVIOR. SAVIOR OF MY SANITY.

Friday was the kind of day where all I wanted to do was leave the house, by myself. I wanted to run away from it all. I wanted to take a much needed shower. I wanted to go work out (GASP!). I wanted to pull my hair out and I did a few times. If I were a smoker, I would have smoked two packs in one afternoon. It was that BAD. Thankfully, I have never even taken one puff from a cig. Some of my family members unfortunately smoke enough for me anyway. That's another story for another day. It's not pretty.

I wanted to eat everything in site but rest assured, I didn't! I wanted to listen to music LOUD and by myself. I wanted to go pee by myself. I wanted my long ass day to be done and over with. I really miss my 8 hour day with the boys. It is really wearing me out being with the boys from 5:30 am until 6:00 pm every single day. I know, I know, I choose to be a SAHM, it doesn't mean I can't complain and it doesn't mean that it's not hard and lonely. I know Kevin works his ass off too, no need to tell me that. He doesn't have a blog to bitch on though.

I will be leaving the details out because it's just not important anymore. It's amazing to look back on these pictures. You would NEVER know the kind of day I had by looking at these pictures of the boys. Their cuteness and my day on Saturday was my SAVIOR that day.

Out of Commission

I'm in excruciating pain today. I spent the entire day at doctor/dental appointments. I will be able to read blogs but not comment or email for awhile. I'm unable to use my right hand or arm without horrible pain. I can't dress myself, let alone the kids. Changing diapers and meal times are a killer.

Let's hope my pain medicine kicks in soon. I am going on no sleep and my patience is wearing off.

This is just as painful as my c - section recoveries and pitocin induced labor contractions. My arm is throbbing so much that it feels like it is going to explode. Needs to explode.

Will be back when my pain lets up some. I am dreading tomorrow with the boys. 11 hours by myself without the ability to use my right hand and arm. I don't know how I am going to tend to the boys.

Gotta go, this left hand typing is a pain, literally.

White Trashville

Guess whose gorgeous yard this belongs to? It is my BEAUTIFUL front yard. I know you are so jealous. You know you are sooooo jealous of the beautiful weeds coming up through the MASSIVE dirt pile. Remember when we had to have this done to our yard? It STILL looks like we are complete white trash. We found out from the plumbing company and three different landscapers that we HAVE to let the dirt settle naturally into the ground. Meaning the entire two years we end up having to live here we will have a HUGE EYE SORE as a front yard.

I can't begin to tell you how absolutely embarrassing it is to have a huge dirt pile, no grass, and missing shrubs in the front of our house. When it rains, it is actually dangerous to get out of your own vehicle. Our driveway and front yard become a huge mud slide. Right before our landlords decided to do MAJOR plumbing work in our yard, I had bought lots of cute and decorative summer things to put in the front, now it would just be a complete waste of time to even try to decorate it. It would be like trying to cover up a HUGE ugly ass tattoo with a band aid. Every time I come home, I am just disgusted with my yard. It's a good thing we love the backyard at least.

Our neighbors have been giving us dirty looks, I know they THINK we are just lazy and that's why we still have a huge dirt pile in our yard. PLLLLEEEASSSEEE! Our yard would be dirt pile free if we had a choice in the matter. One of our neighbors had the nerve to ask Kevin in his own dumb ass way what we had planned on doing with the dirt. He is lucky he didn't ask me, that's all I will say about that matter. I would have told him I planned to shove the dirt up his ass real good. Kevin is much too nice, I swear.

I am about ready to go door to door explaining the work we had to have done and to explain why our yard is making the whole neighborhood look like White Trashville. I am also just about ready to mail out a damn newsletter to people explaining the damn mess. Or even put a huge stake in the ground with a poster on it explaining that we can't move the dirt and we hate it just as much as they all do, more actually. I hate it that none of them know why we even have the dirt pile to begin with, let alone why weeks and weeks later we still have the huge nasty dirt pile in our front yard. If you were me, would you put up a damn poster to piss everyone off, mail out a newsletter, go door to door, or do nothing at all and not give a damn what people think, do, or say? I am mostly kidding about the whole poster thing.

I can't believe our yard looks like this because some dumb ass years ago was too lazy to do the plumbing work the correct way. Count your blessings if planting flowers and what not is the biggest of your yard worries this summer!

Sad

Last night our family dog was put to sleep. It's so hard to believe Jackson isn't with us anymore. I am so incredibly sad for my mom, dad, and brother. There aren't enough words to describe how close they were to him. They have been crying all week long. He was the most incredible dog. So loyal. So sweet. So loving. The best. I am so sad about it, I can't imagine how they feel. I have been out of the house and away from him since 1998. I will never forget getting him when I was in high school. It brings back so many memories. Here is a picture of my younger brother and Jackson from a few years ago

No Title Needed

Don't you just love our coffee table arrangement? It is NEVER where it should be! Half the time we have it upside down so the boys will stop arguing over who gets to sit on it!

No Wait! It Gets Even Better!

I started my period yesterday. The period that I assumed I wouldn't have for several months because I am no longer taking BCP's. My body usually rebels against any kind of "female normalcy". I normally only have periods when I am on the pill.

I declare right here and now, the term "Aunt Flow" can no longer be used on this blog. There is NOTHING aunt like with ragging. Aunt's take you shopping, tell you that you are pretty, and make you dinner. The last time I checked, ragging DIDN'T have anything to do with any of those pleasant thoughts.

Only a man COULD HAVE coined the term, "AF" !

On my period. Husband out of town this week. Happy! Happy! Joy Joy!

I just found out that my husband has to go out of town AGAIN. He leaves Sunday freakin morning, so much for our BIG weekend plans. We had a much needed date and a lot of fun outdoor activites for the boys planned. He will be back sometime next week, probably late Wednesday, so that means I will see him Thursday night. I am pissed. I am tired of it. They always do this. If we have plans, you can bet a surprise trip will be in store. I am tired of being the one left behind to ALWAYS take care of the kids. It's lonely. It's hard. I am tired of it all. I don't know how much longer I can take this 24/7 thing. I am going to loose my mind. It wasn't very long ago that he got back from a work trip. I won't have a minute away from the boys. Thanks for listening to me bitch, I know it isn't easy to do. It's either I write this out or I scream very very loud while running out of my house. I suppose this is the thing to do.
