Here I am again writing a monthly update just in the knick of time.
We have been keeping really busy this summer, trying to be out of the house as much as possible. Park visits, library visits, Mall play place visits, backyard time, and we recently started baseball up again.
Haley is nearly EIGHT MONTHS OLD. My god that just kills me. Her first year is going entirely way too fast. I would give anything to slow it down. Anything.
Let's see she has been crawling since 6 months, sitting up since 6.5 months, standing up and cruising since 7 months, and has her two bottom front teeth.
We can't believe how early she is doing everything. We suspect she just wants to catch up with and catch her two big brothers. *grin* She just loves them so much. And they love her. She has a VERY SPECIAL bond with Nathan in particular.
She isn't much of a eater, napper, or sleeper but she IS VERY VERY VERY HAPPY and beautiful so that helps tremendously.
She was doing pretty good sleeping at night around 5 months then all of a sudden for the last several weeks, she started waking several times a night. SEVERAL. It was killing us. It took us back to her first two months of life when we did the chair sleeping. Knock on wood but she is doing a little better right now.
She basically doesn't nap during the day AT ALL. My god I am always exhausted. If she sleeps for a few minutes, she insists that she sleeps ON ME. Yeah hard to get anything done around here, let alone have much time with the boys. I am always saying, "Just a minute" and "I need more arms!" I even have Austin saying, "Just a minute" all the time to us. We have no idea how she does it. She doesn't even get a percentage of the sleep she is supposed to get. Not even close. She doesn't sleep long at night and then doesn't sleep during the day.
Haley eating is pretty damn interesting too. She likes her finger foods but doesn't really care for the baby food. In order for her to get any at all, I have to sneak the spoon in her mouth when she is trying to eat her Cheerios, toast, biter biscuits, or broken up waffle pieces. She likes to spit her baby food out and/or blow raspberries as soon as food hits her tongue.
I am hoping Haley turns around very soon on the whole eating, sleeping, and napping thing but something tells me she isn't going to. She looks just like me as a baby and according to my mom she has the same issues as I did. Sigh and LOL. But like I said, she is so VERY HAPPY, nearly ALL OF THE TIME. Her smile is just incredible.
She loves to laugh, get tickled, dance (especially with her Daddy every night), chase her brothers around, look at them, admire them, laugh at them, follow Mommy everywhere around the house, have crawling races with Nathan, eat and suck on EVERYTHING she can but is NOT supposed to. Especially paper and books.
She no longer uses her swing, bouncer, and very rarely her exersaucer. She is a baby on the go for sure and has been since SIX months old. Wow.
She loves to be thrown up in the air.
She loves sticking her tongue out.
She HATES being in water. HATES it. Always has. She screams during all her baths and the one time we put her in the kiddie pool.
She is wearing 6-9 months but pretty much needs a bigger size now. At nearly 8 months old she weighs 20 pounds.

Haircuts, the "sticker store", the park, feeding the animals, and other fun things.
At first I was disappointed that ALL of us weren't completely in this shot but now that I think about it, I think it's TOTALLY AWESOME that it's just Kevin and Nathan as the focus because for one they are SOOOO TWINS and for two the whole tongue thing was completely spontaneous.
