My good friend Sandi sent me a HILARIOUS picture today.
She sent me the following picture in an email and told me that I should try it out for Halloween. lol
I have my LAST official OB appointment this morning. I can't believe it!
My OB will probably want me to come in on Wednesday for one last non stress test but those don't involve seeing her.
I just can't believe that in FOUR days I will finally meet and hold our daughter Haley.
It is all still SO surreal to me.
After my appt, Austin and I are going to be out and about for a couple hours until Nathan gets home from school. It's supposed to be SO NICE out today and we have some errands to run. It will be one of our last Mommy and Austin days, pretty soon baby sister Haley will be with us everyday. I SO need to get out of the house today because nearly all weekend we were INSIDE getting her room done and cleaning the house. God, I am exhausted but SO HAPPY to be nearly 100% ready.
Later today when we get back home, I will update with any fun OB stuff and write about our exhausting weekend of getting Haley's room ready to go! It is looking SOOOOO good and SOOOOOO beautiful! I couldn't be happier with how the room is turning out.
Oh and that is NOT back fat that you see, my damn shirt was bunching up on me.
Sexy I know. lol.
Actually I really do love my belly.
I love it clothed.
I love it bare.
I love what it represents.
I love that the beautiful miracle that's inside of me will complete our family.
It is SO AMAZING to me how different I am carrying Haley compared to the boys.
With the boys I was MUCH wider in the stomach and didn't stick out quite as much. I also didn't carry them as low as Haley.
Right now with Haley my stomach literally looks like a v shape. Her head is WAY LOW and my belly is very pointy "down there" lol.
I just LOVE it.
And I love her.
Here is a picture showing me at 17 weeks, 27 weeks, 32 weeks and at 37.5 weeks -

I am no longer wearing the orange shirt. It was never a "maternity" shirt anyway, I had just bought it big to wear during my pregnancy. Glad it fit enough for at least this week's picture. These days I am most comfortable in Kevin's big shirts that no longer fit him. Those wouldn't take very good pictures. lol
During this entire pregnancy, I have literally been wearing 1 pair of black capri pants and two pairs of my black gym work out pants, the ENTIRE time. NONE of them being maternity. God I miss jeans. I have had two maternity shirts to wear along with the orange shirt for this entire pregnancy. I wanted a bigger maternity wardrobe, DUH RIGHT?!, but money doesn't grow on trees and I didn't really want to waste money that we don't really have on clothes that I will never wear again. Needless to say, I REALLY look forward to wearing different clothes once again. It gets old wearing the same stuff day after day. LITERALLY.
Yesterday was quite the BIG OB day.
Here is an email that I sent out to some family and friends -
As I said in my last post, we got SOOOO MUCH done this weekend. Boy am I feeling it today. I was up late last night posting my last entry and uploading all the pictures to Flickr. When I finally went to bed, I had a really hard time falling asleep. Once I did fall asleep, I wasn't able to stay asleep because lord knows I end up in the bathroom half the night. Then when I AM in bed my hips and thighs just kill me.
Can I just say how much I HATE sleeping on my side?! Especially with a HUGE baby inside of me. It just kills my body at night.
You can sure tell I am 9 months pregnant huh?! ha ha!
Some of you shared with me that you would enjoy seeing the presents that I got from both of my showers for Haley. I went ahead and took pictures of all the shower gifts so you can check them out if you are interested and also because it will help me BIG TIME when it comes to documenting all of the fun stuff in Haley's baby book.
I TRULY can't thank you all enough who took part in the surprise shower for me!
I was BLOWN AWAY by your love and friendship. TRULY OVERWHELMED.
It would have been SO WONDERFUL if you ALL could have been at the surprise shower but I TRULY felt each and every one of you with me during the celebration. Thank you SO VERY MUCH for that! It was an amazing feeling.
We were saying that we couldn't believe that in only TWO weeks Haley will be here and Cara soon followed that with, "What is REALLY crazy and amazing is that in TWO weeks and four days Haley will be HOME with you".
I was totally speechless.
Trust me, that doesn't happen very often.
When you're pregnant, you are CONSUMED by your due date, it's really the only thing that you're focused on. It's ALL about the birth. So much so that you don't FULLY think about actually bringing the baby HOME. TO STAY. FOREVER. AND EVER. lol
Today's conversation was definitely a SCARY and a HAPPY reality check.
80% Happy, 20% Scared
Ok, now I really am off to get some things done before Haley gets here!
Friday the 13th started off as a normal day. Just me and the boys at home. Lots of fighting (when I say fighting, I never mean actual punching kind of fighting between the boys, I mean getting too rough at times while trying to have fun and them having a hard time sharing things). Lots of love. And let's not forget a whole lot of housework. I was trying to get it all done on Friday so that on Saturday and Sunday Kevin and I could try to get a lot of this stuff done. Nathan and Austin also had a lot of fun playing with Averi at her house.
VJ and I had texted back and forth through out the day, pretty much our normal thing. I think we had even talked once or twice on the phone, normal for us too. I was under the impression that she was working, she had told me she had to work Friday instead of Saturday. Kevin ended up getting home a little early on Friday because he went in early (now I know why! lol), when he got home I ran some errands. Picked up dinner, took books back to the library, got gas, that kind of thing, while the kids took a late nap. All while VJ was in my city and I HAD NO CLUE! She was getting the car all "showered up".
I got home, we had pizza for dinner and during dinner is when I got the BIGGEST SURPRISE OF MY LIFE.
