It sure seems like she likes to lay in a vertical position rather than in a horizontal one. My belly sticks WAYYYYYYY far out somedays, with very little belly on the sides (I am more FAR OUT in the front than wide on the sides). I definetly look like I will pop anyday now. Let's hope she waits a few more weeks. I want to make it to at least 36 or 37 weeks.
Here is a picture showing me at 17 weeks, 27 weeks, and at 32 weeks -
Haley and I have come a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong way baby!
I have an ultrasound on Tuesday at 4 pm. I will update on Tuesday evening with an ultrasound update and hopefully some new pictures of Haley Ann!
PS Can I just say how CRAZY it is that I am THIS BIG at 32 weeks, even though I have gained very little weight with this pregnancy AND it's been several months since I have gained a single pound?! CRAZY!
I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that I wasn't a size 4 to begin with lol.
I just got back from my 32 week OB appointment. I still can't believe I am already 32 weeks pregnant. Seriously, where has the time gone? Austin was quite the handful at the appointment today, he is SO silly, crazy, and cute I tell ya.
Everything looks good with Haley and I (YAHOOOO!!! and what a blessing!). We will know a lot more tomorrow late afternoon. My OB went ahead and had me set up an ultrasound appointment for tomorrow afternoon to check on the size of Haley. It is just something you need to check on when dealing with gestational diabetes. I still haven't gained a single pound in MONTHS. It is crazy! While I lose weight or maintain, Haley continues to grow each week. I am measuring a week or two (or three?) ahead of 32 weeks with the stomach measuring but like I said we will know a lot more tomorrow after the ultrasound.
As I get further and further along with my pregnancy, my blood sugars are slowly rising due to hormone changes with my placenta. My OB went ahead and gave me a prescription for a medicine that will help me with my blood sugar regulation. I continue to do really well with my GD diet (HATE it but doing it) but sometimes no matter how well you are doing diet wise, your numbers are likely to increase in the third trimester.
So I will be having an ultrasound tomorrow and then next Tuesday I have my next OB appointment. She wants to start seeing me weekly now.
WEEKLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man oh man this pregnancy has flown by!
Tonight after Nathan's baseball game we are hoping to get some 32 week shots taken. My stomach has gotten A LOT BIGGER since my 27 week shots, it is just AMAZING and scary lol !
I will be back tomorrow with my ultrasound update and hopefully some belly shots!
Thank God it's Friday! It hasn't been a bad week, just a tiring one. The whole pregnancy thing is really starting to kick my ass butt. But you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way. Well I could do without the horrible pain I have all night long but really I can't even begin to tell you how blessed I feel right now to be pregnant with our third baby. And our last. lol.
So. incredibly. blessed.
And HEY it's Friday! Gotta LOVE Fridays! I know I do!
One of my favorite things to do is to look through old photographs of the boys. They grow up WAY TOO FAST. It just kills me.
I miss Nathan's chubby cheeks.
I miss Austin's chubby little arms and thighs.
I thought it might be fun to post a few of my favorites from the past.
One of the most rewarding relationships in my life so far was the wonderful relationship that I had with my "Little Sister" Ashley. I had seen the wonderful experience my younger brother Joe had with his "Big Brother" as a child and I wanted to give the same experience to another child. Ashley and I became Little and Big in 1997 and we had a wonderful year with one another. I was 21 and she was 7.
We were the perfect "match". We had very similar personalities and likes/dislikes, we even resembled one another. We often got mistaken for "real" siblings and on rare occasion people thought I was her MOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Um, no, can't say I had a child at 14.
We loved hanging out with one another. Our two most favorite things were hanging out at the mall together and getting our pictures taken in the mall photo booth -
(OMG!!!!!!!!!!! The days of plaid shirts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
While the boys and I were eating breakfast this morning I said to Kevin as he was leaving for work,
"Be careful. I love you. Let me know when you get there."
I say that exact same line to him every. single. morning.
Well I am sure I switch up the order somedays. I am wild and crazy like that. lol.
Right after Kevin closed the door, Nathan said to me,
"Mommy, I really like it that you say that to Daddy every morning before he goes to work".
My heart just melted right then and there.
How amazingly perceptive children are! For him to notice that I say that exact same line to Daddy every. single. morning., just amazing and it made me feel SOOOO good. Kids notice more than we all think.
I of course had to call Kevin right away to let him know what Nathan had said.
I think it's safe to say that his heart melted a little bit too.
